Optimizely shortcuts in CMS 12 will get a trailing slash appended!
In Optimizely CMS you can manage an optional shortcut for all pages. There are different types of shortcut.
- No shortcut (default)
- Shortcut to another content item
- Shortcut to page on another website
- No shortcut, display text only
- Fetch content from another content item
One use case for the type «Shortcut to page on another website», is to add external links in some sort of navigation or list page.
Starting from CMS 12, Optimizely will add a trailing slash to the external URL, if it's missing.
Not all URLs will work when the trailing slash is added, and that could cause problems.
This has been accepted as bug CMS-25647 – It will hopefully be fixed soon.
